This Gifted Tree Planting Project is in Hiawatha National Forest, in Michigan’s wild and scenic Upper Peninsula. The Hiawatha National Forest is unique in that its dramatic shoreline touches upon three of the five Great Lakes –Superior, Huron and Michigan — three of the five great lakes. It is also home to several iconic lighthouses, beaches, rivers, and streams that run through the forest for miles, and an abundance of wildlife.
